The High Commission of India in Canberra represents the Republic of India in the Australia. As the official link between the governments of Australia and India, the Embassy represents the political, economic, and cultural interests of India in Australia. The Present High Commissioner, Mr. Biren Nanda, assumed charge in April 2012 and has been in the Indian Foreign Service since 1978.
